Product Description
A compact 75 Gallon Per Day Reverse Osmosis system which is ideal for aquariums, window cleaning, car washing and drinking water when used with our pressure tank kit. Also ideal where space is at a premium.
We also use separate Sediment and Carbon filters to ensure maximum operational life and trouble free operation.
This unit also includes a membrane flush system which reduces membrane fouling thereby extending life.
The system includes:-
1 x 75 gallon per day membrane
1 x In-line Sediment Pre-filter
1 x In-line Carbon Pre-filter
1 x Feed Water Clamp
1 x Waste Water Clamp
2 Metres of Red Tubing
2 Metres of Green Tubing
2 Metres of Blue Tubing
1 x Membrane Flush Kit *
* Using the flush valve regularly increases membrane life.
The effectiveness and productivity of RO systems increases with greater water pressure and temperature. The actual flow rate (in GPD) of any reverse osmosis system depends on your home water pressure and temperature.
While manufacturers state that 60 psi is required at the membrane for full production, we know that not everyone's cold water is at 60 psi and 77 degrees F therefore, we remind you that you might get less than 75 GPD, perhaps 50% or even less if your pressure and temperature are very low!
So when flow rate is critical for you, you need to consider all these factors.
Reverse osmosis (RO) is a filtration method that removes many types of large molecules and ions from solutions by applying pressure to the solution when it is on one side of a selective membrane. The result is that the solute is retained on the pressurized side of the membrane and the pure solvent is allowed to pass to the other side.
Reverse osmosis is most commonly known for its use in drinking water purification from seawater, removing the salt and other substances from the water molecules.
