Product Description

The Merlin Reverse Osmosis system is a specifically designed with high flow rate in mind, because of this it requires a minimum of 40-45 PSI to work efficiently. Low pressure not only gives poor flow rates but also compromises permeate (product water) quality. To address this problem where many locations get pressure much lower than the required 40 PSI, GE introduced the booster pump.

Installation is easy with 1/2 In-line push-fit connections. The pump will automatically turn on and off as the Merlin calls for water.

  • Conforms to IP65
  • Suitable for lower pressure applications
  • Suitable for lower temperature applications
  • Weight: 4kg

Please consider the following before purchasing this pump. This is Booster pump designed for lightweight use, it should not be run for more than 10 minutes, and then allowed to cool fully before using again. This is not suitable for commercial applications where it is required to run for long periods if you choose to purchase this pump for commercial applications then it will invalidate warranty. Please consider water regulations when installing any pump. If you are unsure please consult a qualified plumber.

What is Reverse Osmosis?

Reverse osmosis (RO) is a filtration method that removes many types of large molecules and ions from solutions by applying pressure to the solution when it is on one side of a selective membrane. The result is that the solute is retained on the pressurized side of the membrane and the pure solvent is allowed to pass to the other side.

Reverse osmosis is most commonly known for its use in drinking water purification from seawater, removing the salt and other substances from the water molecules.
