Product Description

High quality stainless steel UV systems from SPECTRUM provide assurance of safe water due to their high dosage rates of 30mj/cm2. Whether the water source is from mains supply, borehole, well or river, microbiological contamination can be treated with Ultraviolet light.


UV light is effective against contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, mould spores, algae and other micro-organisms as it prevents growth and reproduction. If left untreated, these organisms remain in the water and produce a bio-fi lm coating throughout the water system which harbours more bacteria and makes the water less safe to use or drink.

What is Reverse Osmosis?

Reverse osmosis (RO) is a filtration method that removes many types of large molecules and ions from solutions by applying pressure to the solution when it is on one side of a selective membrane. The result is that the solute is retained on the pressurized side of the membrane and the pure solvent is allowed to pass to the other side.

Reverse osmosis is most commonly known for its use in drinking water purification from seawater, removing the salt and other substances from the water molecules.
