Silicate Specific Contaminant Filter

In ecosystems, the silicon and phosphorus ratio and the silicon and nitrogen ratio are thought to contribute to the type of algae that will dominate, for example, diatoms versus cyanobacteria. 

Our cartridges contain Silica specific removal resins which will remove remaining silicates from your RODI water prior to using in fresh or reef water tanks. 

Used in conjunction with a standard mixed bed deionisation filter system, these cartridges provide the best in water purification and filtration. 

This filter must be used downstream (after) a standard mixed bed DI filter for maximum effectiveness of the resin, if this filter is placed upstream of a mixed bed DI filter the effectiveness will be reduced significantly.
